Parking surveys

What is a parking survey?

Parking survey data is collected from on-street and off-street, to identify parking trends. The data can be used to determine lengths of stay, capacity, and usage of available parking spaces.

It is also used to measure the use of parking permits and pay and display parking bays, as well as measuring parking demand and stress in controlled and uncontrolled areas.

Lambeth methodology parking surveys are used, if required, as part of new planning development applications. We carry out parking impact reviews of existing roads to support the application.

The process

A team of enumerators manually collect the parking data. The frequency of the parking beats depends on site-specific requirements. We assess and evaluate captured data and provide it to the client in a format that works for them.
